Please, can everyone make an effort to clear pitches of litter after each game. Coaches – bring your own waste bags or ask an Edinburgh Leisure staff member for bags prior to kick-off. Hand these out to both home and away touchlines and explain why it’s important to clear up.

Edinburgh Leisure outsource their grass cutting contract and often find that contractors arriving at pitches covered in litter will simply leave. Like everyone, they also have daily targets to meet and are there to cut grass and do not have the time, or understandably the inclination, to act as refuse collectors. Messy pitches are left uncut!

The committee request that all Association members adhere to this request no matter which pitches they play on.
