It is with great sadness that we have to advise of the passing of Frank Lewis at the age of 85 on Sunday 15 December.

In recent times he was the Chairman of our 13/14s Association whilst also holding the role of Vice Chairman of the 15/18s Association.

Frank came from Leith where he attended Norton Park School situated immediately behind the Main Stand of Hibs’ Ground at Easter Road. It was not surprising therefore that Frank was a keen Hi-Bee particularly enjoying the Club’s historic Scottish Cup Final win in 2016.

He also played the game most notably for Preston Athletic, from Prestonpans, where he was a stalwart of the team in the 1950s / 1960s.

For many years he was an Official of Hutchison Vale Boys Club which led to him joining the committees of the local youth football associations. His common sense approach to any problems was much appreciated by his fellow committee members.

Another sporting interest was bowling and he played out of the Maitland club at Davidson’s Mains.

He will be greatly missed by us all.

Frank’s funeral takes place at Seafield Crematorium on Tuesday 7 January 2024 at 1.00pm.
