Sadly, during the close season Harry Smith who was the President of The South East Region and Treasurer to our U13s & U14s and U15s to U19s Lothian Buses Leagues, passed away. Everyone who knew Harry will know how big a part he played in the running of the SERYFA and our Leagues. Harry will be missed by everyone as his experience and knowledge was invaluable. He was also a great friend and will be missed by all involved in youth football.
I personally would like to thank everyone for the kind messages that were received on Social Media – I have passed them on to Harry’s family who were astonished by your kind words. On behalf of Harry’s family I would like to thank everyone.
Harry worked as hard as ever getting things ready for the new season so let’s make him proud of the SERYFA & the Lothian Buses Leagues once again.
We would like to request that every team holds a minute’s silence before their first game of the season and please advise all the players about Harry and what he has done for Youth Football in our area.
